all caramel lovers, here is a treat for you! There
is nothing better than homemade, whether it be
ice cream, hamburgers, bread, or a sweet rich
Chef Bill Hassett isn’t holding back on
this sweet treat, it is the perfect accompaniment
to go along with that homemade ice cream. The
smooth and creamy taste will definitely have you
going for seconds. Enjoy!
1/2 C. Butter
1/2 C. Cream
1/2 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Brown Sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla
1. Heat butter and cream in a small sauce pan
until butter is melted.
Add sugar, brown sugar and vanilla.
Bring to a slow boil, reduce heat and simmer 20-30
minutes, until smooth and there is no graininess.
Serve over Ice cream. French vanilla or butter
pecan are excellent choices or you can also experiment.
The sauce is also great with assorted fruit.
Caramel Sauce can be flavored with brandy, rum
or rum extract
